SpecScope: A Spectrum Analyzer by NFX Development

SpecScope by NFX Development is a free spectrum analyzer that provides speedy and easy access to FFT frequency measurements. It is the second engineer application in the line of products developed by NFX Development. The app is designed for Android users and is available for free on the Google Play Store.

The app has a user-friendly interface that maximizes the screen size, using gesture control to navigate around the graph measurement. It allows users to select logarithmic/linear measurements and a selectable number of bins for accuracy versus speed. Additionally, it has three settings of spectrum averaging, four different windowing options, a threshold trigger to hold the peak value, and optional measurement markers for ease of reading.

The app also allows users to pinch to zoom in both X and Y axes and simply navigate around the graph by dragging. Users can tap to pause and resume measurements while the graph remains navigational in this mode. The adjustable sample rate allows analysis from 10 Hz to 22KHz.

Please note that SpecScope is now deprecated and has been replaced by SpecScope 2, which is available on the Google Play Store. If you have any issues with the app, you can contact the developer at for assistance or a refund. If you enjoy using the app, please leave a quick rating and comment.
